Government officials, particularly at the ministry of corporate affairs and the Comptroller and Auditors Generals office, may soon undergo training in the areas of financial risks, corporate governance, internal audit and controls by experts from the US-based, The Institute of Internal Auditors, or IIA.
We met senior government officials in the ministry of corporate affairs and the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General today and we have had preliminary discussions on having some kind of strategic alliance with these offices. After working out the details we may go in for a memorandum of understanding, said Patricia K. Miller, chairman of IIA.
