Madam/Dear Sir,

Priority Sector Lending - Revised Reporting System

Please refer to the revised priority sector guidelines issued vide circular RPCD.CO. Plan. BC.13/04.09.01/2012-13 dated July 20, 2012 wherein it was advised that separate guidelines relating to priority sector data reporting system will be issued in due course. Accordingly, based on the discussions with stakeholders, it has been decided to rationalize the monthly, quarterly and yearly statements on priority sector in supersession of our circulars RPCD.No.Plan.BC. 21/04.09.01/2007-08 dated September 3, 2007 and RPCD.CO.Plan. BC.11/ 04.09.01/2011-12 dated July 13, 2011.

2. It has also been decided to discontinue the following statements with effect from April 01, 2013:

3.  The banks are, therefore, requested to furnish data on priority sector advances, as mentioned above, in the enclosed revised formats. The revised monthlyquarterly and yearly statements should be furnished to Rural Planning and Credit Department, Central Office, Statistics Division, 10th Floor, New Central Office Building, Shahid Bhagat Singh Marg, Mumbai 400 001, within five days, fifteen days and one month, respectively from the reference date starting from December 2012 for monthly and quarterly statements and March 2013 for the yearly one.
