ICAI, Bharathiar varsity sign MoU |

Coimbatore, Dec 4 The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) today inked a memorandum of understanding with city-based Bharathiar University providing for mutual recognition and study-cum-examination arrangements for the members and students of the two premier institutions.
Under the MoU, the university would offer B.Com, M.Com, BBA and MBA degree courses for the students and members of the ICAI, university Vice-Chancellor Dr G Thiruvasagam and ICAI President Ved Jain told a joint press conference here.
ICAI and the university would organise a personal contact programe for the students and members and a coordination committee would be constituted to facilitate exchange of students records and monitor their progress on a continuous basis, Thiruvasagam said.
This was an excellent bilateral cooperation between two educatiional institutions in order to exchange the highest standards of professional education, study training to enhance the ICAI members and students comprehension, Jain said.
The syllabi of these courses had been specially designed jointly by the institute and varsity keeping in view the current challenging professional scenario as a result of rampantly changing global situation, they said.
