ICAI signs MoU with Bharathiar University |

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Bharathiar University to enable members and students of ICAI get BBA & MBA Degrees.
The syllabi of these courses have been specially designed jointly by the ICAI and Bharathiar University keeping in view the current challenging professional scenario as a result of rampantly changing global situation.
The MoU will cover B.Com and M.Com for the benefit of members and students of ICAI.
The MoU will offer a university degree to the students & members of Chartered Accountancy (CA) course on qualifying five non-exempted papers of specialized subjects, not covered in the CA Course and provides due exemption in ten papers studied in the CA course, thus avoiding duplication .
To help students undertake these courses, the ICAI and Bharathiar University would organize personal contact programmes from time to time.
All those students who have passed the CA Entry level Examination namely Entrance / Foundation / PE-I / CPT or CA Intermediate level Examination namely Intermediate / PE-II / PCE are eligible to enroll for the B.Com or BBA course.
CA candidates who have qualified the CA Final Exam or have completed graduation including B.Com, BBA through the ICAI route can enroll for the M.Com or MBA course.
"In times to come, Chartered Accountants will play a vital role in the industry whether in employment or in practice, and occupy prominent positions in every aspect of the economic life of the country. This MoU will provide an added dimension to the profession of Chartered Accountancy", an ICAI spokesperson said.
