Today, September 7 is the last day to file income tax returns for all those who come under the tax bracket -- i.e. all those who earn more than 10 lakh per annum or own assets abroad.

Initially, the deadline was shifted to September 7 only for Gujarat after rioting in the state due to reservation claims by the Hardik-Patel led community prompted the government to curb internet services over the mobile and dongles, and SMS services for a week.
