ICAI campus placements from Feb 20
February, 26th 2014

As many as 525 candidates who recently completed their chartered accountancy studies will participate in a two-day campus placement drive planned by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) from February 20.

Some of the leading names of the Indian industry, including Tata Consultancy Services, Credit Suisse, Accenture, ITC limited, Bosch Limited, PAREXEL International, Federal Bank and Indiabulls Housing Finance Limited, have confirmed their participation in the placement programme, ICAI Pune's chief coordinator S B Zaware told reporters on Friday.

"We expect a strong response from the Indian corporate sector as the drive presents them a good opportunity to recruit the finest minds in the accountancy space," he said.

"For budding chartered accountants, the placement programme means they can start their career on a high note and get exposed to managing finances of some of the biggest companies and conglomerates," he added.

The ICAI, through its committee for members in industry, organises campus placement programmes at 16 different locations in the country from February to March and August to September every year. Last year, 1,600 candidates were offered jobs across the country, Zaware said.

"In Pune, 16 companies were part of the campus placement programme last year and 142 chartered accountants were recruited," he added.
