The Udupi branch of ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) organised an investor awareness programme at Nitte recently.

Inaugurating the programme, Sankaran, director of Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte, appreciated the demat system prevalent in the country.

Chandrasekhar Thakur, head of investor education, CDSL, said trading and settlement in the markets are taking place in a secure and transparent manner.

A press release by the management institute said here that nearly 200 participants attended the programme.
