Tally unveils earn while you learn programme
September, 13th 2007
Accounting software company Tally (India) Pvt Ltd has launched Pragati, an earn while you learn programme.

Targeted at the student community, the programme is designed to enhance students employability.

Launching the programme here at a press conference, Mr D. Kalyanaraman, President, Global Services Business of the company, said the pan-India initiative is currently open for enrolment and will close on October 18.

Through the programme, we plan to reach out to people across segments such as students, unemployed youth, homemakers, accounting professionals and entrepreneurs, he said.

Students, irrespective of their educational backgrounds, can enrol either in the Tally Financial Accounting Program or Tally Financial Accounting Certification or a bundled offer and get certified through over 1,000 Tally Academy network across the country.

The earn while you learn plan would enable students get enrolled to facilitate demand generation for Tally 9, the business accounting and inventory management software, for prospective companies, thereby, ensuring oneself a source of income while they are engaged in learning.

Over six million small industries will be computerised in the next four years, creating three to four million jobs, he said.
