Invitation to attend Faculty Identification Programme-II on GST

Dear Professional Colleague, 

The  possibility  of  GST  implementation  in  April,  2017  looks  real.  In  view  of  the  great  need  for 
imparting  training  across  the  length  and  breadth  of  the  country,  Indirect  Taxes  Committee  has 
undertaken  this  mission  to  identify  and  provide  opportunities  to  members  for  enlisting  in  the 
faculty  list  of  Indirect  Taxes  Committee  of  ICAI.  With  the  introduction  of  GST  being  imminent, 
the need to be prepared with a database of trainers is imperative.  

Accordingly,  in  order  to  increase  its  faculty  base  and  provide  a  well  set  platform  to  new 
aspirants  to  contribute  as  an  Indirect  Taxes  (including  GST)  faculty,  Committee  is  organizing  
next  Faculty  Identification  programme  at  various  location  as  per  below  mentioned

Persons who aspire to become a faculty of Indirect Taxes are expected to meet the following basic requirements: a) Knowledge on Indirect Taxes including Model GST Law (Member may also refer BGM on Model GST Law prepared by the Indirect Taxes ) b) Public speaking ­ past experience in training / seminars / classroom sessions, understanding audience expectation and keen classroom strategist Given the above, program is not meant to provide training to the participants but to identify the new faculties to increase the pool of faculties with the following approach: 1. Volunteers will be required to make 15 minutes PPT presentation on any topic of Model GST Law. It would be ideal that your presentation be on topic of GST model law rather than GST overview etc. 2. The shortlisted candidate from this training would be called for Two days comprehensive training on Indirect Taxes including GST that would be tentatively held at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai/ Bangalore and Kolkata in the month of October, 2016 which would be communicated separately. Members who were unable to get through in the previous attempt in August 2016 could prepare well and present again if they feel they can do better.
We would like to inform you that no fees would be charged for this programme. However, commitment to attend the programme till the conclusion would be must.
