Justice Jagdish Bhalla, Chairman, Punjab State Human Right Commission (PSHRC), appreciated the economic strength displayed by India during the recent recession.

He was speaking at the seminar on 'New Horizon and New Challenges', on Saturday, organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Chandigarh Branch at CII, Sector 31.

The seminar was organised to update the members about the latest trends in chartered accountancy, and was attended by over 200 chartered accountants of the tricity.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman, ICAI Kapil Sabharwal stressed on how the accounting profession can support the central government in ensuring that the benefits of various programmes reach the intended beneficiaries.

Company Secretary Nidhi Singh briefed the delegates on how to access online information regarding business enterprise.
