The Gujarat Law Society has announced launch of GLS Centre for Professional Studies, Chartered Accountancy Academy that will conduct coaching for 
the aspirants of chartered accountancy. The formal inauguration of the centre will be held on July 11. The centre will be set up at GLS Campus. The inauguration will be done by the minister of state Saurabh Patel. Dormer president of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will also be present on the occasion.

New appointment: Director and dean of Institute of Business Management and Research B School R K Balyan was unanimously elected as president of Ahmedabad Chapter of National HRD Network on Wednesday. Other elected office-bearers include Arun Harne of Adani Wilmar Ltd (vice-president), Viral Mankodi of Torrent Power Ltd (secretary) and Rajesh Chhatrala of Zydus group (treasurer).

Business school to set up operations: The Unitedworld School of Business will commence operation in the city from this academic session. The college will be taking in 120 students in their first batch. The institute will come up in their own campus near Gurukul. The campus will be connected with the other two centres coming up in Mumbai and Kolkata.

Distant learning courses: Pancholi Education and Research Foundation (PERF), India, in tie-up with Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Mumbai will offer distant learning courses like supply chain management, human resources management and leadership, retail management, business management, finance, marketing, banking and international trade. The institute is now offering classroom programmes of different durations including six months, 11 months and 24 months.
