The agitation programme (including the proposed walkout on July 31) declared by the Income Tax Gazetted Officers Association (ITGOA) and Income Tax Employees' Federation (ITEF) has been called off, according to statements issued by the unions.

At a meeting held on July 26, the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) had given positive assurance for time-bound action on all issues raised, the statements said.
