The city Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of India representing more than 1400 members and 4000 students hosted the first day of National CA Students' Convention in Ludhiana.

The global business competitiveness intensifies the demand for improvements of communication and negotiation skills. It is simply a matter of survival in this era of Globalization and intense competition. Chartered Accountants play a vital role in an economy and specifically in Audit of Financial Statements, Direct Taxes & Indirect Taxes, Financial Management and cost management.

Charted accountant (CA)Rajeev K Sharma in his inaugural address appreciated the fact that more than 1000 CA students from 20 Cities all over India have joined the Convention. He promised the participants that this Convention will give them a launching platform for increasing their knowledge, enhancing their skills, give them wider perspective and will take them to new horizons.

CA Jasminder Singh Chairman, conveyed warm welcome to the gathering and highlighted various activities taken by Ludhiana branch for the members and the Students.

Arun Rattan was coordinator to the Convention and Vikas Giya, Secretary of the organization paid vote of thanks to the gathering.

Amongst the other dignitaries from various parts of India were CA Amarjit Chopra, Past President-ICAI, CA Pankaj Tyagee, CA Durga Dass Aggarwal, CA Vishal Garg, CA Vijay Kapoor, Chairman, Board of Studies-ICAI, and members of Northern India Regional Council of ICAI.
