In a statement, Mr P. Subash Chandra Bose, while welcoming the recent announcement of tax exemptions and complete waiver from payment of sales tax in respect of accounts in the commercial taxes department between the period 1951-52 and 1991-92 etc., has thanked the Minister for Commercial Taxes for taking the initiative to find a solution to the problem of levy of `Market committee cess' on agricultural goods and urged that an early solution to the problem is necessary.
