US Tech in long-term deal with US tax major |
May, 30th 2007 |
Thiruvananthapuram-based IT services company, US Technology, has entered into a multi-year agreement with Kansas-based H&R Block, the world's largest tax services major, to provide software development and testing services. |
The deal envisages setting up an offshore development centre (ODC) for H&R Block in the city, in partnership with US Technology. |
According to Karen Orosco, vice president (technology), H&R Block, the switch to ODC would yield benefits to H&R Block by having a predictable multi-year sourcing model and a shared pool of resources to be utilised across the IT organisation. |
"With access to talented technocrats and a move towards a results-based model, the ODC is a significant step in our ability to deliver to our business needs," he added. |
