GST training to be coolest thing this summer
April, 14th 2017

The Modi government is going all out to spread awareness about the new indirect tax system, and the training to be imparted to Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs) is being seeing as a necessary first step.

A top government official said in a statement issued, the purpose of this move is to convey to the masses, through every intermediary possible, that the GST is a consumer-friendly measure, and that the tax incidence would not rise under the new tax system.

Thus, it is going to be a summer of training which is not only for businesses but also for politicians, wherein they may have to spend time learning the finer points of goods and services tax (GST) ready to be rolled-out in July.
