The two-day national conference on tax on the theme of " Role of Professionals in Changing Scenario" concluded here on Sunday.

The conference was jointly held by the All India Federation of Tax Practitioners (Central Zone), Rajasthan Tax Consultant Association, Jaipur; Tax Bar Association, Jodhpur and Jodhpur Branch of CIRC of ICAI.

The objective of the conference was to educate and update tax professionals about the constant changes in the tax laws and policies and their applications in the changing global scenario.

The role of tax professionals was also stressed in order to keep pace with these changes and provide speedy and smooth services to the clients.

Experts from across the country also discussed on issues like Direct Tax Code, Goods & Service Tax, TDS, VAT and Service Tax among others.

Retired justice Rajesh Balia (the former chief justice of the Patna High Court) was the chief guest of the concluding ceremony.
