Nearly 1,000 students who have completed their chartered accountant course are expected to participate in the ICAI-organised campus placement programme starting next week.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) would hold its campus placement programme from March 10 to 15.
"As many as 980 candidates, who have recently completed their chartered accountancy, are likely to participate in the campus placement programme in New Delhi," the institute said in a statement today.
Many companies including Bharti Airtel, Genpact, Bharat Petroleum, MMTC, Macquarie Global Services and Wipro have confirmed their participation in the programme, it added.
ICAI President K Raghu said the placement programme would provide an excellent opportunity for topline Indian companies to recruit the finest minds in the accountancy space.
"We expect strong response from Indian corporate sector," he noted.
Chartered accountants provide essential strategic guidance, expertise and consultancy across a vast array of business activities and sectors, ICAI Vice President Manoj Fadnis said.
The institute organises campus placement programme held twice a year during February-March and August-September periods.
