ICAI Conference on Direct and Indirect taxes proposed in Budget-2013

A Conference was conducted today on ‘Direct and Indirect Taxes’ at ICAI office in Sector-14 by the Udaipur branch of the Institute of Charted Accountants of India to discuss the major points stated about the subject in Budget-2013.

In the starting, Branch Director CA Arun Ratnawat welcomed the Chief Speakers, Advocate Sanjay Jhawar and CA Gajendra Maheshwari, and all the other participating CA members.

Jhawar, who came from Jaipur to attend the conference, discussed the budget proposals that 1% tax will be deducted at source (TDS) on the immovable properties worth more than 50 Lac and that any person taking a loan of up to Rs. 25 lakh for a first home will be allowed an additional tax deduction on interest of up to Rs. 1 lakh.
Branch secretary CA Deepak Aren shared that experts answered many questions that were asked by the people present in the conference.

On the occasion, a CA directory, ‘Sampark-2013’, was unveiled by the Chief Speakers. The directory contains names, contact numbers and other information of all the 831 members of Udaipur Branch.
