A seminar on Union Budget-2010 was organised by the Ludhiana Branch of the Northern Indian Regional Council (NIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) at the ICAI Bhawan.

Dr Girish Ahuja, chartered accountant from New Delhi and well-known tax consultant and author of books on taxation, was the keynote speaker.

Dr Ahuja discussed at length important implications of the Union Budget-2010 with reference to direct taxes. He did a clause-wise analysis of proposed changes in the Income Tax Act, 1961.
