ICAI - Team Leader/Consultants required for ICAI-Accounting Research Foundation

TEAM LEADER/CONSULTANTS REQUIRED FOR ICAI-ACCOUNTING RESEARCH FOUNDATION

ICAI-Accounting Research Foundation invites applications from Chartered Accountants or retired Government Officer(s) having relevant knowledge, preferably having experience of 10-15 years in case of Sr. Consultant and 8-10 years of experience for Consultant for working on a project of converting the accounts of a Delhi based government department from Cash Basis of Accounting to Accrual Basis of Accounting.  The Project is expected of the duration of approximately one year.  The job profile and the proposed remuneration is given below:-
 
Remuneration

Consultant                                        Rs. 50,000 per month
Senior Consultant                                 Rs. 75,000 per month
Team Leader                                       Rs. 75,000 per month
 
In deserving cases, the remuneration can be negotiated.

Further, these payments are consolidated and no addition is to be made on any account, unless specifically agreed at any stage.   They are expected to devote full time to the job (except the Team Leader, who would be expected to devote about 15 days in a month).

JOB PROFILE
 
1. Team Leader
The function of the Team Leader will be to distribute the work amongst the Senior Consultant and the Consultant as per the plan of the Project.  He will ensure that tasks are completed on time and he will be responsible for preparing the various drafts of the reports. 

2. Senior Consultant
Senior Consultant will be In-charge of a group of Consultants.  The Consultant will advise the Senior Consultant on the actual performance of the tasks.  It is expected that the Senior Consultant should have the experience of Consultants in commercial consulting assignments.  Senior Consultant will also be responsible for maintaining liaison with the middle level executives of the Government department so that there is no difficulty in collecting the required data.  In consultation with the Team Leader, the Senior Consultant will frame training programmes as well as manuals as required and carry them out.

3. Consultant
Consultant is expected to perform his/her assigned task which include collection of data, collation of the data so collected, drawing up framework and flow charts as per directions of the Senior Consultant and the Team Leader, working together with personnel of the Government department for all steps from data entry to final output etc.  It is expected that Consultant will have on the job experience of commercial consulting dealing with the client representatives and personnel and in general maintaining decorum and behaviour expected of professionals.
