The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India wholeheartedly welcomes the statement of the Finance Minister during his Budget speech about the introduction of Central Plan Schemes Monitoring System (CPSMS) through Planning Commission. It is further heartening to note that Government intends to evaluate these schemes by independent evaluations conducted by research institutions. As a professional institute, we look forward to closely work with the Planning Commission and the Government to strengthen the monitoring systems and ensure independent evaluations.
