Know All Income Tax Due Dates for 2023: CBDT Releases E-Calender
January, 11th 2023

Now, you can know all the important income tax due dates in a fingertip, as the Central Board of Direct Taxes ( CBDT ) has released the e-calender for the year 2023 mentioning all the important income tax compliance dates.

The e-calender shall be beneficial for the taxpayers as the calender mentions all the compliance due dates including TDS, advance tax and annual income tax return due dates for individuals, companies and other entities. The calendar shall be useful to the voluntary taxpayers to start tax planning and the professionals to manage their compliance responsibilities on time.

“This calendar is a tribute to India’s values of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” which has inspired the theme for India’s G20 Presidency: ‘ONE EARTH, ONE FAMILY, ONE FUTURE’ India sees all living beings and even inanimate things as composed of 5 basic elements, the Panchtatva – Prithvi (Earth), Jal (Water), Vayu (Air), Agni (Fire) and Akaash (Sky). The photographs in this calendar are all inspired by these elements and are taken by officers/officials of the Income Tax Department,” the CBDT said in the preface of the calendar.

As per the e-calendar, the due date for filing of income tax returns is July 31 for the individuals. The due date is the date by which the returns can be filed without any late fee or penalty.
