January, 15th 2009 |
The Chairmen of all Branches of the Regional Councils The Chairmen of all Regional Councils All DCO Heads Dear Sir, I am sure you are aware that the Institute has recently launched a new scheme of education training and examination called the Integrated Professional Competence Course (IPCC) w.e.f. 3rd December, 2008. A notification in this regard is hosted on www.icai.org as also the salient features of the new scheme of education. In nutshell, the new scheme of education envisages that a student after passing CPT and 10+2 will be eligible for registration to IPCC and will be eligible for Articleship after passing Group I only. In other words, the articlehsip will commence along with registration to Group II of IPCC, after passing Group I of IPCC. However, the students who have passed CPT and 10+2 and not registered for PCC so far will have the option to register for PCC till 30th June, 2009 and thereafter will be registered for IPCC. The existing students of PCC also have the option to convert to IPCC and if they do so on or before 31st January, 2009, they will be eligible to appear in either or both Groups of IPCC examination to be held in November, 2009 subject to compliance of eligibility conditions like ITT, orientation course. I am sending herewith an application form for conversion from PCC to IPCC which can also be downloaded from www.icai.org as also a set of certain questions along answers relating to conversion from PCC to IPCC. I request these questions answers be displayed on the notice board of your office, published in the newsletter as also hosted on the website for wider information of the students / members. With warm regards, Yours faithfully, R. Devarajan Additional Director (SG)
