Companies allowed to offer pricing logic in tax assessment... » Draft simplifies property tax calculation January, 03rd 2009 Following the BBMP commissioners draft notification of property tax with the Unit Area Value and the zonal classification, it's now time for public evaluation. Objections, if any, can be filed in the next 21 days. After considering them, the commissioner will issue the final notification. Property tax collection will start from the date the final notification is issued. A handbook along with application forms will also be issued. Property tax has to be calculated and filed in the forms available in the handbook. In a press note on Friday, the BBMP commissioner has clarified the following issues about the unit area system of property tax assessment.
