Making the gift regime fool-proof... » Service tax collections up 63.8% December, 02nd 2006 The Centre's service tax collections have recorded a 63.87 per cent increase in April-October 2006 to Rs 16,894.54 crore compared to Rs 10,310 crore collected in the same period last year. An official release said that service tax revenues for October stood at Rs 3,537.67 crore, which represents a 64.39 per cent increase over Rs 2,152 crore collected in the same month last year.
