While the The Income Tax Department is developing a mobile app for taxpayers to help them file their returns, online taxfiling company, ClearTax.in is targeting the professional CAs with the firstever mobile taxfiling app for the Chartered Accountants (CAs).

The cloudbased app will help CAs check the filing status of their clients at anytime and from anywhere. Like their retail product, this app will also come with features like automatic selection of the correct ITR form. The software will also import the TDS, TCS, Self paid tax entries directly from the form 26 AS, thereby eliminating any manual data entry. The app also allows direct efiling with digital signatures and easy revisions. Since it is for professionals, it also comes with phone, live chat and email support. As per as security of data is concern, "The app has bank level security and encryption," assures Archit Gupta, cofounder, ClearTax.in

"We realized that while many are of our customers are savvy enough to file their taxes, a this exclusive slideshows treat! good number still need assistance and prefer going to a CA. This new app is therefore targeted at the professional CAs, be it a oneman freelance business or a firm with thousand CAs," says Gupta. More than 10,000 CA firms have already tiedup with ClearTax.in for this.

The app comes with a strong search filter to fishout client records via name, PAN number and dateofbirth. "During filing season, clients reach out to their CA almost everyday. CAs can quickly check and advise their clients of the tax amount due, filing status, filing history, etc.," says Gupta.

The App is integrated with a cloudbased web application. So, unlike the old products available in the market, this one does not require any software installation or updates and one can works from anywhere and at anytime. The app is available exclusively on the Google Play store for Android devices
