Notice inviting Expression of Interest for Due Diligence Audit of Varanasi Branch
               Building Project of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
                   [Announcement No. EOI/Varanasi/Audit/2013-14 Dated 25/11/2013]

A building of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has been constructed at Varanasi,
Uttar Pradesh (hereafter referred to as "Varanasi Branch Building Project of ICAI").
Applications are invited from Chartered Accountants firms for the due diligence audit of the said
project.

Eligibility Criteria:
    1. The Chartered Accountant Firm should have atleast 5 partners of which at least 3 partner
        should be FCA.
    2. Firm's standing should be of atleast 15 years.
    3. The firm should have experience in audit of construction projects / civil projects of Rs.5
        crores or more.
    4. The firm should have Head Office / Branch Office at Varanasi or within the jurisdiction
        of Varanasi Region upto 100 Km.
    5. That no partner is / was member of the Central Council / Regional Council /Building
        Committee or Managing Committee of Baroda Branch of ICAI during the period 2009-10
        to 2013-14.
    6. That the relative of any partner of the firm is not a contractor / vendor / Landlord of the
        said project (i.e. Baroda Branch Building Project, Gujrat) during the period 2009-10 to
        2013-14.
    7. That the word relative will include spouse, son, daughter, parents.






Scope of Work:
The auditor has to report on the construction work for the said building project. The scope of

Honorarium Payable:
The honorarium for due diligence audit will be limited to Rs.35,000/-. No TA/ DA will be paid
in addition to honorarium.

Others:
   1. There shall be no fee for the empanelment of work assigned.
   2. The empanelment for the said assignment shall be accepted only in the prescribed format
      (see page no. 3)
   3. The last date for receipt of queries regarding submission of expression of interest is 5th
      December, 2013 upto 1600 hours.
   4. Queries, if any, in this regard may be forwarded to audit@icai.in. Any communication
      other than email will not be entertained.
   5. Any amendment / corrigendum / clarification to the EOI will be posted on www.icai.org.
   6. Submission of Expression of Interest should reach by 10th December, 2013 upto 1600
      hours by way of physical submission / registered post at the following address:

   7. The envelop should be marked "Empanelment for Construction Audit of Varanasi Branch

   8. The ICAI shall not be liable for non receipt of any of the EOIs.
   9. The ICAI reserves the right to reject any of the applications without assigning any reason
      at any time and could call for other details or information from any of the firms.
   10. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.
