Undisclosed income of educational institutions... » TDS claims of assesses to be verified November, 17th 2007 The Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) claims above Rs 10,000 relating to private and public sector organisations will be verified and the assesees are required to furnish necessary documents for the purpose, Commissioner of Income Tax, RC Pramanik, has said. The Central Board of Direct Taxes had issued guidelines to clear claims up to Rs 25,000. But for TDS exceeding Rs 25,000 would be entertained only after verification of the original TDS certificates.
