The Indian rupee opened at Rs 46.82 per dollar versus Rs 47.19 yesterday.
On Thursday, the spot rupee closed higher at Rs 47.20 per USD as against its previous close of Rs 47.35 per USD.
According to Manis Thanawala, Greenback Forex Services, the rupee is expected to be stronger on dollar weakness. Stronger global equity markets could also help the currency to strengthen. The range for the day is seen between Rs 46.75-47.35 per dollar.
