September, 04th 2014
ANNOUNCEMENT

XBRL National Conference in India
On
XBRL - Expectations & Challenges in Data Analysis
On October 9, 2014

In the recent times, Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) has emerged as a popular and effective alternative for useful business reporting and analysis and has been adopted/ implemented across the globe. Though, initially, few challenges have been faced in its implementation, the countries are now finding relatively comfortable to implement it. The benefits of XBRL have been recognised by the stakeholders, regulators and analysts.

XBRL India, facilitated by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, is pleased to organise a half day XBRL National Conference on October 9, 2014 under the theme ‘XBRL – Expectations & Challenges in Data Analysis’. XBRL experts, project leaders and National Regulators from Asian countries are expected to participate the XBRL National Conference.

The objective of the conference is to provide a platform for the participants and the organizations in India to have an insight into the experiences of the regulators in the other countries of the Asian Region about the benefits of XBRL and XBRL implementation. The participants will hear the views of regulators, technologists and standard setters on the ‘Pros & cons of Extensions in the XBRL taxonomies’ to get an insight about the benefits and challenges of allowing the extension in taxonomy. An interactive session on ‘Analysis of XBRL Data’ will give the participants an understanding as to how the XBRL data is being used by the regulators/analysts for analysis purposes and eases the analysis process.

The programme schedule for the conference will be available shortly. The conference will be followed by dinner.
