Theme With the aim of giving Small & Medium Practitioners (SMPs), an opportunity to know about the significant
developments impacting the SMPs worldwide, the International Affairs Committee of ICAI is organizing a SAFA-

IFAC Regional SMP Forum on 10 October 2014 at New Delhi. The SAFA-IFAC Regional SMP Forum will dwell
upon some of the important issues such as Global and Regional Trends impacting SMPs, Enhanced Practice
Management and New Services for SMPs, Quality Control and Efficient Auditing and alike.
The SAFA-IFAC Regional SMP Forum would provide an opportunity to the participants to have a first hand
interaction with Mr. Giancarlo Attolini, Chair, IFAC, SMP Committee, Mr. Brian Bluhm (Deputy Chair and Chair
SMPC's IAASB Rapid Response Task Force from the USA), Mr. Stuart Black (Chair, SMPC's SMP Business Support
Task Force from Australia), Mr. Albert Au (Chair, SMPC's Ethics Task Force from Hong Kong), Mr. Bodo Richardt
(President, European Federation of Accountants & Auditors), Ms Marie Lang (Technical Director, European
Federation of Accountants & Auditors).
The SAFA-IFAC Regional SMP Forum would also provide an opportunity to the participants to explore
networking options with SMPs in Europe, ASEAN and SAARC Region.
