Pay advance tax on time, says joint commissioner

Joint commissioner of income tax, Range-II, Chandigarh JS. Kahlon has urged traders and professionals to pay advance tax on time.

Addressing a meeting of owners of various business establishments or professionals on Tuesday, Kahlon urged traders to pay the first installment of advance tax well on time by September 15, second installment by December 15 and the last installment by March 15, 2015.

He also said taxes for the current fiscal should not be deferred up to the time for filing income tax returns. Rather, all taxes which were due for the current fiscal till March 31, 2015 and balance taxes should be paid by March 15, 2015.

Traders and other professionals assured that the issues raised by joint commissioner would be duly addressed. Income tax officer, ward 2 (2) Rupnagar Neera Bakshi, Income tax inspectors Jaswinder Chopra and Dharam Pal, income tax bar association Rupnagar president Sanjay Sharma, were also present on the occasion.
