IT tax returns filling extended to OCT 15 for corporate taxpayers

The Central Board of Direct Taxes has extended the due date of filing of income tax returns for the assessment year 2010-11 for corporate taxpayers till 15th October.

Earlier the due date of filing returns was upto 30th of September which is prescribed for corporate taxpayers, taxpayers whose accounts are subject to tax audit.

According to an official release, the date has been extended in view of disturbance to general life caused by floods. The due date for filing returns for the state of Jammu and Kashmir will remain 30th of November.
