CBDT extends date for filing I-T returns in Bihar, J&K |

Government on Thursday extended the last date of filing income tax returns in Bihar and Jammu and Kashmir.
The government took the decision of extending the time period in Bihar in view of the disruptions caused by flood in the Kosi river and law and order problems in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Central Board of Direct Taxes has also extended the date of obtaining tax audit report under section 44AB of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
The due dates for filing tax in Bihar has been extended from 30th September to 30th November and in J&K from 31st July to 30th September.
