| A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between The Institute of Chartered
Accountants of India (ICAI) and Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and
Training (CERT), Abu Dhabi was signed on 25th August, 2006 by me and Dr.
Tayeb Kamali, Vice Chairman of CERT, Ministry of Education, UAE. The
MOU provides for devising international curriculum as per the local
requirements, review of existing education and skill sets in the area of
accounting and auditing and assisting in setting up of independent Institute for
promoting chartered accountancy as a profession in UAE.
