The Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) will hold its 47th Regional Conference of Chartered Accountants on August 22 and 23. Talking to reporters here today, SIRC Chairman Aruloli P Ramalingam said the conference would be held at Confluence Resort at the tourist spot of Mahabalipuram, about 55 km from here.
He said this largest convention of the CA fraternity was back in the region after a gap of eight years and will witness the convergence of around 3000 Chartered Accountants from different parts of South India. The two-day event will have eminent dignitaries from across the country and keynote addresses and presentation of technical papers by eminent professionals. The Conference will be inaugurated by ICAI President Manoj Fadnis.
The event would have panel discussions on varioustopics including, the companies act, global economictrends, Make India-My India campaign, analysis ofblack money law to make India glow and recent judicialpronouncements in direct taxes. The highlight of the event would be a record-breaking marathon 66 km banner to be displayed to create awareness among the public about the CA Course since there were only 2.5 lakhs Chartered Accountants at present as against the current global requirement of Indian Chartered Accountants of six lakhs, Mr Aruloli P Ramalingam said.UNI GV KVV KSR 1035
