The minister for revenue and civil expenditure, Dr B. Gopala Reddy, announced today that government intended to introduce during the November session of Parliament a comprehensive Bill embodying their decision of the major recommendations of the Tyagi Committee on administration of direct taxes.

He said in the Rajya Sabha that drafting of the Bill was now under way in the law ministry to whom the decisions had been forwarded. If they want time beyond November then the Bill might have to be introduced in Budget session.
