The company has entered into a license agreement with Asahi Kasei Chemicals Corporation, Japan, to construct a plant to manufacture polycarbonate using AKC's environmentally friendly technology. The proposed capacity of the plant will be 1,30,000 tonner per annum. It will enjoy exclusivity for a period of seven years and no other license will be given by AKC in India. The plant would be put up in a separate company.
