Companies are now filing their papers online, with the exception of stamp papers. But we are working on this as well and soon stamp papers can be filed electronically, secretary, ministry of corporate affairs Mr Anurag Goel said at an Assocham seminar here today.

He said that talks were on with state governments and other authorities to implement e-filing of stamp papers. About 90 per cent of company records are filed electronically. Mr Goel informed, efforts were on to ensure all documents were filed online, including payments by companies.

He said the much-awaited Company Law Amendment Bill was likely to be presented in the winter session of Parliament.
