How to check TDS amount online: Step-by-step guide
July, 08th 2020

The income tax department has put in place a facility to enable taxpayers to view their tax credits online or through the internet. The taxpayer can view their TDS online by using the net banking portal. However, for that, you need to link the PAN with the net banking portal.

TDS on salary is a tax deducted by the employer at the time of paying in the salary to the employee. Your money is deducted and deposited on your behalf to the government by the employer.

Here’s how to check TDS amount online using net banking:

  • Download the Authorised Net Banking App from Play Store/App Store.
  • Then Register on the Net Banking App
  • Now link your registered bank account on the App with Pan Card.
  • Now you can view the status of TDS Returns via obtaining Bank statement or Record of such account through which tax is paid.

Here’s how to check TDS amount online using Pan Card:

  • Visit the official website. www.tdscpc.gov.in/app/tapn/tdstcscredit.xhtml
  • Now fill up the verification code
  • Then click on ‘Proceed’
  • Enter the PAN and TAN
  • Now select the financial year as well as the quarter and the type of return
  • Finally, click on ‘Go’
  • The details will be displayed on the screen

The procedure of filing income tax returns, claiming your TDS refunds, and checking your TDS amount online or offline is crucial to keep a track of your hard-earned money. If you are a taxpayer then you should check about your tax deduction and tax deposited in your pan account.
