About Conference:
There nearly 150000 Housing Co-operatives registered in India. Due to scarcity of space, the Housing co-operative
has become the best vehicle to provide affordable housing and enjoy a community living. There are many legal
provisions which require deliberation, debate and proper representation before the Authorities. ICAI being a
partner in Nation Building and has been mandated to regulate the members who undertake the audit of Housing
cooperatives has joined hands with Maharashtra State Co-operative Housing Federation Ltd to discuss the topics
which are a matter of concern for healthy promotion and management of Housing Co-operatives. There will be
discussion on the latest changes in the law and other incentives announced by the central and state government to
promote housing co-operatives including professional opportunities to CAs, cooperative governance, funding
availability, issues which require immediate attention of the policy makers etc.
