ASSESSMENT TEST FOR THE CERTIFICATE COURSE ON
INDIRECT TAXES
Assessment Test of all the Certificate Courses on Indirect Taxes completed on
or before June 29, 2013 will be conducted by the Indirect Taxes Committee on
July 13, 2013.
Participants are requested to register themselves at the Assessment Centre of
their choice on or before July 6, 2013 by filling the on-line application form
(please click here for the on-line form)
Date of Assessment Test July 13, 2013 (Saturday)
Time 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
* A candidate can appear unlimited attempts in the Assessment Test for the
period of three years from the date of completion of a particular batch.
The candidates reappearing for the Assessment Test are required to pay the
Assessment Test Fees of ` 1,000/-, by online payment / through DD/Pay Order/
Cheque made in favor of 'The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of
India' payable at New Delhi. The reappearing candidates are also requested to
send the hard copy of the Hall Ticket along with the "acknowledgement of online
payment" or "DD/Pay Order/ Cheque" to the address mentioned below.

A. SYLLABUS FOR THE ASSESSMENT TEST
The various subjects and the weightage thereof for the Assessment Test
will be as under :

The relevant Finance Act for the Assessment Test is Finance Act, 2013.
B. PATTERN OF ASSESSMENT TEST
Question paper will be of 100 marks, divided into two parts i.e., PART A,
containing 35 multiple choice questions carrying 2 marks each and
PART B, containing 6 short-questions of 5 marks each. There will be an
internal choice in Part B.
C. PASSING MARKS
Passing marks for the Assessment Test is 50. The Institute is not
undertaking any assessment in the strict sense but evaluating the
capabilities inculcated through the learning process. The candidate
securing less than 50% marks in the assessment test will have to re-appear
in the test.

E. WHAT TO BRING ON ASSESSMENT DAY
Applicants should bring the following on the day of assessment test:
1. Print of the Hall Ticket
2. CA Membership Card/ Other Identity Card
3. Ball Pen (Blue or Black)
Only Non Scientific Calculator will be allowed inside the Assessment Test
