'Chartered Accountants Day' was celebrated in the city by the chartered accountants at the ICAI Bhavan with all excitement and enjoyment.
Ludhiana Branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India celebrated this occasion at ICAI Bhavan Ludhiana, where 250 CAs and their families and 200 CA Students participated to re-affirm their commitment to carry on the rich tradition of excellence of ICAI.
The Program commenced with the Flag Hoisting by Chairman CA, Jasminder Singh who congratulated all the members of the profession and the CA students on this auspicious occasion.
"A Blood Donation and a medical check up Camp were organized for members of the association and this even was very well supported by a team of doctors from various city hospitals. More than 150 units of blood were donated by the chartered accountants and their family members,' said Rajiv sharma, convener, public relations, ICAI Ludhiana chapter.
He further informed that over 100 members made the most of the tests for various diseases that were conducted by the team of the doctors who also addressed the gathering apprising them of various important health related issues.
However to make the event more joyful, a Punjabi dance performance on the folk songs was given by the wives of the chartered accountants and these included Arti Goyal, Monika sharma, Kiranjeet Kaur, Rashmi Maini, Parminder Kaur and Shivani singh.This performance by the ladies left the audiences spell bound and they were seen enjoying the traditional punjabi folk.
Following this Indoor Games Championship was also organized. Enthusiastic Members, their families and Students took part in Chess Championship, Chinese Checkers Championship and Carom Board Competition. Awards were given to the Winner's, First Runner-up, Second Runner-ups.
Amongst others who were present on the occasion and participated in the activities included Rachit Bhandari, Vikas Giya, Arun Rattan and Hukminder Sahi.
