Nidhi Agarwal , a chartered accountancy (CA) final student, has made the city proud by securing 42nd rank in the all India CA merit list this year. Nidhi is the highest scorer from Nagpur. Always a bright student, Nidhi stood eighth in the all-India final exam for the company secretary held in December 2008 and has completed her graduation in commerce, again topping the merit list.

While Nidhi managed to get such high scores, the passing percentages in the CA final exam have been shockingly low, 3.5% in the old course and 6% in the new course.

Throughout her educational career, Nidhi has been outstanding in not only academics but also co-curricular activities. "Apart from bookish knowledge, it is imperative to be aware of current affairs to achieve success.

Time management is also as an important factor for students preparing for such tough exams. Devoting 10-12 hours per day before exam is a must for every CA student," she says.

Nidhi plans to complete the general management and communication skills course of ICAI at the earliest and then appear for campus recruitment programmes.

Nidhi gives credit of her accomplishment to her parents. She thanked her teachers, seniors and friends. As a message for the upcoming CA students, she says," Do not get demotivated and always be focused. Focus and hard work always pave way for success."
