Three postal unions National Federation of Postal Employees, Federation of National Postal Organisation and Postal Officers' Association have urged the postal department not to accept income-tax returns.
The unions said that they were `shocked' to find that the postal department has agreed to accept income-tax returns in 2,000 designated post offices from July 26, following agitation programmes announced by various employee unions of income-tax department.
The postal unions have asked the employees not to accept any work of income-tax department.
