This Stay Application is filed by the assessee to extend the original stay order for a further period of six months or till the disposal of the appeal, whichever is earlier on the ground that the delay in disposal of the appeal is not attributable to the conduct
of the assessee.

2. At the outset, it is brought to our notice that taking suo motu cognizance of the extraordinary circumstances arising out of COVID-19 pandemic, the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi vide order dated 25.03.2020 in WP (C) No.3037/2020, directed that in all matters pending before the courts wherein interim orders were subsisting as on 16.03.2020 and expired or will expire thereafter, the same shall stand automatically extended till 15.05.2020. This order dated 25.03.2020 was extended by the Hon’ble Delhi High Court on 15.05.2020 extending the operation of the directions till 25.06.2020. Again, on 15.06.2020, the Hon’ble Delhi High Court extended the operation of the directions dated 25.03.2020 for a further period upto 15.07.2020 with the same terms and conditions.
