The Council, at its 278th meeting, held on May 13-15, 2008, has decided to withdraw the following two Guidance Notes of the Research Committee, as the same are no longer relevant in the present day context:

    * GN(A) 1 (Revised 1976) - Mode of Valuation of Fixed Assets

    * GN(A) 4 (Issued 1982) - Guidance Note on Accounting for Changing Prices
