In an era which is characterized by operation of transnational businesses and seamless trade across frontiers, the demand for Chartered Accountancy professionals with global mindset has catapulted to newer horizons. A latent need existed for providing information in the form of ready reckoner to potential aspirants for tapping such global opportunities.

With continuing to work for the providing Global opportunities to its members CA. Manoj Fadnis, President - ICAI along with CA. M Devaraja Reddy, Vice President - ICAI, have launched the Global Career E-Kit for Qatar (Doha) Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India during the 2nd International Conference on the theme “Partnering in Progress - Role of the Finance Professional” on May 15th 2015 at Doha, Qatar. 

The world today is operating at new dynamics and the globalization has unfolded new vistas of opportunities for all professionals including Chartered Accountants. In order to enable the ICAI members to capitalize such opportunities, the ICAI has prepared Career E kits for various countries. The ICAI has already launched Global Career E-Kits of UAE & Dubai, Kuwait, Dar Es Salaam and Muscat jurisdictions. These E-Kits provide panoramic view of the primary information to our members intending to go abroad for professional forays. 

ICAI currently has 26 Chapters abroad and it is endeavored to develop E-Kits on country wise basis for important locations for the benefit of ICAI member community. It is foreseen that the membership at large will benefit immensely from these E-Kits. Global Career E-kits would facilitate members to leverage global opportunities which are one of the important initiatives highlighted in the Action Plan for 2015-2016. 

These Global Career E-Kits covers general information of related jurisdiction such as demographic details, economic environment, useful business information, visa requirements etc. In addition, useful information such as contact details of local chapter, information on MoU/MRA and FAQs for members abroad is also included in these E-Kits. 

I am confident that the information contained in the E-Kits will assist our members to establish a preliminary interface with the jurisdiction to serve in times to come.
