PRESS NOTE

Jalpaiguri Central Excise Division under Siliguri Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax Commissionerate has destroyed 6357 kgs of Narcotic Drug (Cannabis) by way of incineration at Anandmayee Rice Mill, Balramhat, Bhutkihat of Jalpaiguri District. The incineration was effected on 19.05.2011 under the supervision of a Drug Disposal Committee headed by the Commissioner, Siliguri Commissionerate and in presence of two independent witnesses. The incineration of the confiscated cannabis was done as per the standing order No. 01/89 dated 03.06.1989.
